Our Story
Born and raised on Hawai'i island, our founder saw how pivotal it was to cultivate opportunities in her community. She was fed the idea as a child that the pae 'āina (Hawaiian islands) did not create "professional opportunities" for success. As such, she pursued a career in NYC as a film editor, VR creator, and technical specialist.
Years later, after following her na'au (gut) back home, she set out to debunk the myth that is instilled in Hawai'i's children; that in order to create a fruitful life they'd have to leave the islands. Jhernie Ventures was born out of a desire to create home-grown opportunities for businesses and communities to leverage and own their data to create positive, lasting change.
